MEET THE AUTHOR
Jay Fostner, O. Praem, Ph.D.
Rev. Jay Fostner, O. Praem., Ph.D., was ordained a Catholic priest in 1988. He is a member of St. Norbert Abbey in Wisconsin. He received a B.A. in 1984, a master’s of divinity in 1988, and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology in 1997. He spent 21 years at St. Norbert College, first as an assistant professor in psychology and therapist in the counseling center. He then went on to become the director of the counseling center. From 2011 until 2020, he was the college’s vice president for mission and student affairs. He serves as a formation director for Norbertine seminarians and continues teaching and working as a psychologist.
